Old Airstrips

This is an link to some old airports/airstrips of the past.
When I was little, they used to have great airshows at Tamiami Airport, Homestead Airforce Base and even Opa Locka. Now all we have is the Air & Sea Show in Ft. Lauderdale. What the hell happened?

the flick coffee house where i saw jimmy buffett (next to u.m. where titanic is now)
carolina snowball the white dolphin at seaquarium
jahn's ice cream parlor home of "the kitchen sink"
coral pine park was a tomato field
food fair grocery stores
bird bowl and skating rink
arebetter's hotdogs ( are they better?)
thurman's the only 24 hour restaurant next to holsum bakery
the fancy restaurants
the studio, the pub, the flame, grentner's in south miami
riding horses on old culter road
why did they build a mall in the middle of nowhere
formally known as "deadland mall"
the zoo was at crandon park
having to get our ears pierced in the 60s because all the cuban girls had their ears pierced
oh yeah.....the king orange bowl parade and you knew everyone in it and if you were in it you could watch it the next morning on t.v. so you could see yourself and your friends
I totally remember the movies at Suniland!
And Senn's.
And Food Fair.
And Bird Bowl.
And Arbetter's (it's still there. I went to junior high with one of the Arbetters, too).
Do you remember when Dadeland Mall was an open air mall???
Crandon Park Zoo was the best...from what I remember being about 6 years old!
